JEOS:RP WELCOMES NEW SECTION EDITORS

Five new Sections Editors have recently joined the team headed by the Editors Joseph Braat and Richard De La Rue.

Ralf Bergmann has joined as a Section Editor for integrated optics and microphotonics. He is a professor at the University of Bremen and one of two directors of the Institute of Applied Beam Technology (BIAS). Bergmann focuses on optical metrology and optoelectronic systems.

Papers in the field of classical optical materials will now be handled by Oliver Faehnle who is a visiting lecturer at TNW-TU Delft and Head of R&D in Optical Fabrication Technology at the Swiss company FISBA OPTIK.

Alexander Heisterkamp, professor of the Friedrich-Schiller-University of Jena, is now responsible for papers on biomedical imaging and vision. Before moving to Jena, he was a professor at University of Hannover and head of the biomedical optics department at the Laser Zentrum Hannover (LZH).

In December, also KTH professor Fredrik Laurell accepted the invitation to jointhe Editorial Team. The former Chairman of the EOS Advisory Committee shall cover the fields of nonlinear optics, lasers and laser applications.

Concita Sibilia is a professor at the University of Roma "La Sapienza" and has been on the EOS Board of Directors since 2006. Her research includes optics and nonlinear optics at nanoscale. She will manage papers in the field of nanophotonics, photonic crystals and metamaterials.
