New JEOS:RP Impact FactorThomson Reuters has recently released its 2010 Journal Citation Index Report and JEOS:RP achieved an impact factor of 1.044 - which is a substantial increase from the value of 0.787 in 2009. This puts the journal well on the track to meeting its goal of being an important platform for publication in the fields of classical and quantum optics - with high standards regarding scientific novelty, intelligibility and relevance. The impact factor for a journal is calculated based on a three-year period, and can be considered to be the average number of times published papers are cited up to two years after publication.The impact factor 2011 will be published in summer 2012 as only then all of the 2010 publications will have been received. The 2010 Journal Citation Reports includes a Science Edition which reveals journal impact factors and rankings of over 6,500 science journals. |
